"It seemed like a good idea at the time" Dan says it everyday. Two years ago, he sat with friends and asked "What makes a good web-series?" The answer came back.... "Hot Chicks and Science fiction".... then someone else said "Ninjas are popular too". So we then said, that's it "Ninja Babes from Space"!!!! We laughed at how stupid the idea was... so stupid it was genius. Thus Dan earned the nickname "Evil Genius".
All kidding aside, here is some more info on Dan Lantz, Director.
Dan Lantz made his first feature film “Philly Flash” in 1995. Though it had moderate success, it wasn’t big enough to propel him into a career making features. As a result, Dan spent the following decade as a Director, Director of Photography & Editor on dozens of commercial, corporate and TV projects. In 2002, Dan developed a children’s TV series called “Starship Akuno”. The show wasn’t picked up by a network, but proved very popular on the internet, thus opening Dan’s eyes to the possibilities of creating web-based series and short films.
Since then, Dan directed the award winning “Felix Melman” http://www.felixmelman.com/, the wildly successful Indiana Jones parody “Louisiana Smith and the Bastard Son” http://www.impulse-fx.com/louisiana-smith/ and of course, the ongoing web-series "Ninja Babes from Space." Currently he divides his time between “Ninja Babes from Space” and developing new action comedies.
